Prom Run Review and Gameplay Guide
So I just spent the last hour playing Prom Run and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. This game is ridiculously simple, but it's also super addictive - I mean, who doesn't love a good old-fashioned arcade game, right? You play as a girl trying to get to her prom, and you've got to navigate through a crowded hallway without bumping into anyone. Sounds easy, but trust me, it's not - the hallway is packed with people and you'll be dodging and weaving like crazy to avoid them.
Honestly, the graphics aren't exactly mind-blowing, but they don't need to be - the game's charm lies in its simplicity. The characters are all kind of goofy-looking, with huge eyes and weird hairstyles, and the hallway is just a bland old high school corridor. But to be fair, you don't really notice any of that when you're playing, because you're too busy trying to get to the end of the level without crashing into someone. And the music's pretty catchy, too - it's this upbeat, cheesy tune that gets stuck in your head after a while.
I gotta say, the controls take a little getting used to - you've got to time your jumps just right to avoid hitting anyone, and it's easy to misjudge the distance and end up bumping into someone. But once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty fun - you'll be jumping and dodging like a pro in no time. The levels get progressively harder, too, with more and more people to avoid, so you'll need to stay on your toes if you want to make it to the end.
So what really keeps you coming back for more is the challenge of beating your high score. You'll want to try again and again to see if you can get just a little bit further, and before you know it, you've been playing for hours. I've been playing for a while now, and I'm still trying to beat my best score - it's frustrating, but in a good way, you know? You feel like you're really accomplishing something when you finally manage to get past a level that's been giving you trouble.
One thing that's kind of annoying is that the game can be a bit glitchy at times - sometimes you'll bump into someone and the game won't register it, or you'll get stuck on a character and have to restart the level. But it's not a huge deal, and it doesn't happen often enough to be really frustrating. To be fair, it's a pretty minor complaint, and it doesn't detract from the overall fun of the game.
Anyway, if you're looking for a fun, mindless way to waste some time, I'd definitely recommend checking out Prom Run. It's not going to win any awards for originality or graphics, but it's just a really fun, addictive game that's perfect for playing in your spare time. Honestly, I'm going to go play some more right now - I'm determined to beat my high score!
